Home Tour - Sujiya-cho Machiya

L'home tour di oggi ci mostra una tradizionale residenza di Kyoto del 19° secolo, che è stata la dimora e il luogo di lavoro di un mercante di successo. La parte posteriore era infatti un negozio, mentre la zona posteriore e al primo piano era la casa di famiglia.
Ora la casa è disabitata ma viene affittataper brevi soggiorni.
Molto bella la casa, per quanto sia profondamente diversa dalle abitazioni a cui siamo abituati in occidente. Entusiasmante il bagno e il minimalismo intrinseco di questa cultura.


The home tour today shows us a traditional Kyoto-19th century, which was the residence and workplace of a successful merchant. The back was in fact a shop, while the rear area and the first floor was the family home.
Now the house is uninhabited but is affittataper short stays.
Very nice house, although it is very different from the homes we are used to in the West. Exciting bathroom and minimalism inherent of this culture.
