Il mese scorso sono finalmente riuscita a realizzare un progetto che era in cantiere da tanto, troppo tempo, il bagno dei gatti!
La lettiera è sempre stata in veranda, in bella vista dalla cameretta, e visto che a breve la stanza verrà occupato da un nuovo e piccolo inquilino ci siamo finalmente rimboccati le maniche per creare una lettiera coperta e nascosta per i gatti.
Avevo visto in parecchi siti, cassepanche trasformate in lettiere, ma a noi serviva anche un cassetto per mettere le pappe dei mici, in modo da occupare l'armadio a muro in veranda con parte del materiale stipato in cameretta fino ad ora.
Abbiamo quindi comprato una cassettiera Malm a tre cassetti, abbiamo bucato il laterale destro della cassettiera e il laterale corrispondente del cassetto. Questo cassetto ospita la lettiera! Il cassetto subito sopra è stato montato senza fondale, in modo da permettere ai gatti libertà di movimento, l'unico cassetto che è rimasto illeso è quello superiore dove abbiamo messo la pappa e altri attrezzi utili per la lettiera, come la paletta.
Visto che la veranda è esposta a sud ed è veramente molto calda nelle belle giornate, abbiamo pensato di proteggere la parte direttamente al sole con un pannello isolante, di quelli usati per i termosifoni, in modo da proteggere lettiera e pappe dall'eccessivo calore.

Last month I was finally able to realize a project that was in the works for a long, long time, the bathroom for cats!The
litter has always been in the sunroom, in plain view from the
children's room, and saw that soon the room will be occupied by a new,
small, tenant we finally rolled up their sleeves to create a litter,
covered and hidden, for cats .I had seen in several sites, chests turned into litter, but we also
needed a drawer for storing the food for cats, to fill the closet in the
sunroom with the packed material in the bedroom until now.We then bought a Malm chest of three drawers, we wash the right side of the drawer and the matching tray side. This tray would house the litter box! The drawer immediately above would be mounted without seabed, so as to
allow cats freedom of movement, the only drawer that would be left
unharmed, would be the upper one where we put the jelly and other useful
tools for the litter box, as the paddle.As the sunroom faces south and is really very hot on sunny days, we
decided to protect the part directly in the sun with an insulating
panel, the kind used for radiators, in order to protect from excessive
