Hidden Laundry

In Europa la lavatrice si trova principalmente in cucina, in bagno o in balcone, soprattutto se si tratta di una veranda. In America invece esistono delle vere e proprie stanze adibite al lavaggio, alla piegatura e allo stiro del bucato.
Un alternativa che mischi entrambe le usanze potrebbe essere quella di avere un luogo nascosto e chiuso dove inserire macchinari e detersivi, ma che non occupi necessariamente un intera stanza.

In Europe, the washing machine is located mainly in the kitchen, in the bathroom or balcony, especially if it is a sunroom. In America there instead of real rooms used to washing, folding and ironing the laundry.
An alternative that you mix both traditions would be to have a place where to keep hidden and closed machines and detergents, but that does not necessarily occupy an entire room.
