Nursery - Work in Progress
Dopo qualche mese di indecisioni e discussioni siamo finalmente giunti a una conclusione su arredi e colori per la cameretta.
Innanzitutto l'imperativo è quello di non comprare troppa roba e di prenderla pensando già ad una cameretta da bambino, e non solo come nursery di un bebè!
A disposizione avevamo già una poltrona, utilissima per le future notti insonni e due librerie basse Billy di Ikea, bianche, e quindi neutre.
Come mobilio aggiungeremo da Ikea una cassettiera Malm, come mobile per i vestitini e base per il fasciatoio, e un tappeto, il Birket. Da Maison Du Monde prenderemo il lettino, che attrezzeremo con un riduttore per i primi tempi, e nello specifico siamo orientati per il lettino Songe.
Tutti mobili saranno quindi bianchi o neutri, ad esclusione del tappeto, e il tocco di colore e la decorazione la daranno gli oggetti della linea Gaston, sempre di Maison Du Monde e la carta da parati che metteremo nell'unica parete che non avrà cassettiere o librerie appoggiate. Si tratta della carta da parati per bambini della London Art, la carta riprende una mappa del mondo in colori tenui e la rende allegra con tutta una serie di animaletti.

After several months of indecision and discussions at last we have come to a conclusion on furniture and colors for the bedroom.
First, the imperative is to not buy too much stuff and take it thinking already to a child's room, and not only as a nursery for a baby!
There we had an armchair, very useful for future sleepless nights and two low Billy bookcases from Ikea, white, and then neutral.
How to add furniture from Ikea, a chest of drawers Malm, as a mobile base for dresses and for the changing table, and a carpet, the Birket. From Maison Du Monde we will take the bed, which we equip with a reducer for the first time, and specifically we are oriented to the bed Songe.
All furniture will then be white or neutral, with the exception of the carpet, and the touch of color and decoration to give the objects of Gaston line, Maison Du Monde, and the wallpaper that we will put in the only wall that will have no drawers or libraries supported. It is a wallpaper for children of London Art, the paper takes up a map of the world in muted colors and makes cheerful with a whole range of animals.

Ideas for a bathroom in the attic
Un bagno in un appartamento mansardato può diventare un vero e proprio grattacapo in fase di ristrutturazione, eppure affidandosi a persone competenti del settore o con un po di organizzazione, ingegno e fantasia possiamo ottenere dei risultati davvero notevoli!

Autumnal Tree
L'albero lo si decora a Natale, e invece c'è una mia amica che fa l'albero per Halloween e un altra, con la nonna tedesca, che fa l'albero di pasqua!
Insomma scandire le stagioni in casa decorando un alberello potrebbe essere una fantastica idea.
Per questo autunno ho raccolto alcune delle foto più belle del web, per aiutarci con un pò di ispirazione!

My room without the walk-in closet
La camera da letto di casa mia è lunga e stretta, ma, avendo una cabina armadio a parte, questo non è mai stato un problema. Negli ultimi mesi hanno messo in vendita, nel mio stesso palazzo, un appartamento identico al mio dove, al posto della cabina armadio, i vecchi proprietari avevano costruito un bagno riservato alla camera da letto.
E' una sistemazione degli spazi altrettanto valida rispetto a quella adottata da noi, ma che ti obbliga a pensare a come sistemare gli armadi nel poco spazio a disposizione.
My master bedroom is long and narrow, but having a walk-in closet apart from that it was never a problem. In recent months they have sold, in my own palace, an apartment identical to mine, where, instead of a walk-in closet, the old owners had built a private bath to the bedroom.
Is an arrangement of equally valid spaces to the approach chosen by us, but that forces you to think about how to fix the cabinets in limited space.
Le soluzioni potrebbero essere due, la prima prevede il letto nella parete opposta a dove lo abbiamo posizionato noi e l'inserimento di un armadio a ridotta profondità in modo da garantire un passaggio di minimo 60 cm tra il letto e il mobile. Gli armadi vengono infatti costruiti anche con spessore di 35, 42 o 45 cm, in alternativa ai classici 60 cm.
The solutions may be two, the first is the bed in the wall opposite to where we placed it us and the insertion of a reduced cabinet depth so as to ensure a minimum of 60 cm pass between the bed and the closet. The cabinets are in fact also constructed with thickness of 35, 42 or 45 cm, in alternative to the traditional 60 cm.
La seconda soluzione, quella che preferisco, prevede l'uso di un letto a ponte, con profondità classica che incornici il letto. Forse questa armadiatura ricorda troppo le camere dei ragazzi, ma se progettato in maniera sapiente può essere molto elegante oltre che pratico e funzionale.
The second solution, the one I prefer, involves the use of a wardrobe over bed, with classical depth. Perhaps this wardrobe too reminiscent of the kids' rooms, but if the cabinet is designed in a wise way can be very elegant as well as practical and functional.

Autumn balcony! A book, a blanket and a hot tea...
L'estate sta, piano piano, volgendo al termine. Le sere sono un po' più rinfrescanti e l'aria inizia a diventare frizzantina, specialmente qui al nord. Nel giro di un mese, o poco più, smetteremo di sederci in terrazzo a goderci il fresco della serata per cercare il tepore della casa.
Eppure, specialmente nei paesi nordici, dove le temperature sono anche più basse rispetto alla nostra calda Italia, c'è una forte cultura del balcone vissuto anche in autunno.
Effettivamente, attrezzati con qualche copertina e un libro, accoccolarsi sul divanetto in balcone, soprattutto nei primi mesi dell'autunno, può diventare un piacere, magari accompagnando questo rituale con una bella tazza di the bollente. Provate quindi a prendere ispirazione da queste foto e iniziate a pensare a come godervi il vostro spazio all'aperto anche nei prossimi mesi!
Summer is slowly ending. The evenings are a bit 'more refreshing and the air starts to become crisp, especially here in the north. Within a month or so, we cease to sit on the terrace to enjoy the cool of the evening and try the warmth in the house.
Yet, especially in European Nordic countries, where temperatures are also lower compared to the hot Italy, there is a high culture of the balcony also lived in the autumn.

Nursery and other news! Welcome back, waiting for the baby
In questi ultimi dieci mesi mi sono successe innumerevoli cose, ho cambiato lavoro, sono stata in trasferta nel sud Italia ma soprattutto da cinque mesi aspetto un bebè!
Ed ecco che con un po' più tempo a disposizione e la necessità di acquisti e cambiamenti che torna anche la voglia di aggiornare il blog.
A breve creerò un post su come la cameretta verrà trasformata per l'arrivo del bimbo, che sembra sia maschio, ma di cui non abbiamo ancora deciso il nome!
Un annetto fa ero intenzionata a farne un ufficio, ecco il link del post a riguardo, ma direi che ormai le nostre esigenze sono molto diverse.

In the last ten months it has happened to me many things, I changed jobs, I went to work away in southern Italy, but above all, for five months, aspect Baby!
And then with a little 'more time available and the need for purchases and changes back even the desire to update the blog.
Soon I will create a post about how the room will be transformed for the arrival of the baby, which seems to be male, but of which we have not yet decided on a name!
A year ago I was determined to make an office, here is the link to the article about it, but I would say that now our needs are very different.
